| Introduction is for students who are new to the pole dance. This class allows students to become familiar with and understand the movement. You will learn proper breathing and stretching, as well as the correct way to handle the pole. Beginner I and II is where we teach the key factors in being a great pole dancer: motion, flexibility and strength. Students will work on building strength, flexibility and muscle control, as well as spins, floor work, climbing and transitions. Intermediate I increases the level of difficulty and refines the moves learned in Beginner with the introduction of basic movements and aerial tricks. Intermediate II introduces moves that are more difficult. Students will continue to build strength and flexibility. We will also introduce more complex aerial tricks, spins and floor work. |
Advanced I will combine moves learned in Intermediate I and II into a sensual dance. Students will learn more acrobatic movements and will be introduced to chair work as well. Advanced II increases the level of chair work and will teach transitions from aerial tricks to chair work. Students will also learn advanced trick combinations and floor work. Expert I and II introduces the spinning pole. This class is for students with a high level of pole dance experience. We place an emphasis on muscle control and strength for this class. Students will enhance their ability to perform a more sinuous motion and routine. Open sessions are for students of any level to have the opportunity to experiment on the pole. An instructor will be present. However, this class is not choreographed; it is free time for students. Private or group lessons are for students of any level who prefer to be taught alone or with a group of friends. |
* To ensure the safety of our students, all students must get instructor approval to progress into the next class. Some classes may need to be repeated before advancing. Open sessions are highly recommended for all students of all levels.
Plus many expansion classes to choose from! See our Calendar for a schedule.
